I've been replacing my Alpine HU with the factory Aura head-unit tonight.

As is well apart from the unit resets when you turn the ignition off.

When I removed the Alpine loom, on the connector which plugs into the bottom section of the Alana I found that one of the pins had been removed from the block and taped up. I guess it wasn't needed to feed the Alpine.

I'm not sure which pin in the block it should go back into. I had a choice of three:

2: Tel-mute
3: K-Leitung
5: Switched Plus

I have tried the pin in Switched Plus but it didn't work.

Have I missed something else? Does the pin need to go to somewhere other than "Switched Plus"?

I have unused red wire that was feeding the Alpine but that has a different connector on it, so won't fit back into the block. I wonder if the connector was changed to fit the Alpine? There was also a fused yellow wire for the Alpine.

Help!

Sorry, it's the Alana HU.

The pins on the ISO block for switched ignition and perm ignition are both wired, but their not yellow or red. One's brown and blue IIRC, the other I forget.

Oh, is there a nack of getting the pins out of the ISO block? I've removed the yellow security strip which pulls out the middle of the block but the damn things won't come out...

search for leon pinout on www.icecavern.com/forum and you'll find the pinout for the leon HU, it'll be the same.
