View Full Version : Sat Nav
Hello all.
I'm thinking about importing a leon. One of the options is sat nav. Does anyone know if this is the same sat nav as the one in the toledo? Also one concern I have is, what language the navigation software will be in? Will I have to learn dutch?
Also does anyone have any links? I can't seem to get much information about this option.
Colin
A bit aside - does anyone know if you can fit std sat-nav after you have bought the car??? Is the cost the same as if you ordered it as an option on delivery?
Rich
No you cant fit Standar SATNAV after
Yes I'm sure sat/nav same unit as Toledo V5.
I would imagine CD will be selectable multi language.
When I last looked at SEAT-IMPORTS.CO.UK website, I think I noticed they are not offering sat/nav as an option on the Leon any longer, this obviously could just be their decision, not SEAT!
I still have an original spec' Cupra brochure if you want me to email you the page showing the sat/nav....
Let me know,
Brian.

Factory Sat Nav is FAB but was a pricy option(think its still avail but as everyone knows,SEAT spec for the UK at least, changes by the minute!:( )
All cars we have seen,my Leon Cupra included, came down with German preselected as primary language but after reading instruction book its easy to change all settings to English!
Easy to use, tons & tons of info avail on it.Chucked in a French cd rom for a trip i did in august with no probs.Only very recent road works and upgrades will fool it with the amusing result off blatting down an autoroute and "sat nav lady" will tell ya to make a U turn if poss!! Not recommended on a French motorway anyway!
Great bit of option kit-Go for it
just like the man above says only one point
ASK FOR A BRITISH VERSION OF THE CD , just in case

Hey Flapper,
Is it safer to do a U turn on a UK motorway:D :D
Sorry mate, just a bad day at work - least w/end is only a day away.!! Am i right in thinking that you still have to fax ole SEAT MK to let 'em know the chassis number so they'll send out the UK cd rom? We've sold a number of V5 toledos and not one yet has come down with the same set of alloys !! I'm sure EKTA knows the chassis break points:confused:  !!
Hasta La Vista;)

Thanks for the info. I tried to convert the german text to english......
Of the installation of the antenna, I have unfortunately no pictures, but I try to describe it once as well as possible. First I decreased the disguise behind the antenna. In the middle as well as to the right and left loosely made. Then I unscrewed both stop handle rear and now I was able to pull the sky far according to enough below to unscrew around the old antenna. The radios connector at the orginal antenna the same is was did not cut off like at the Wisi-antenna because I did not know that and it Sunday I the connector and soldered at the Wisi antenna. I took the current connection for the antenna behind out of the Rückleuchte. I pulled the cables for Mobiltel and Navi in the upper right in the sky up to the A-column forwards. One can get the disguise of the A-column through strong pulling away. Then I went behind the glove specialty into the means console.
LOL..
Perhaps I've been speaking english all wrong?
