im having exactly the same problem, not come up with anything yet. One thing i was thinking of is that on disconnecting the battery it has blown the connects2 adapter connecting the cd changer to the seat cable??? not tested with a new connects2 adapter yet though as don't really wanna buy one if it aint that whats wrong with it

has anyone not had this problem before and solved it?
Any ideas at all? is there anyway of testing that it is not a faulty cd changer or faulty connects 2 adapter?
Any help appreciated
sounds like you'be blown a fuse somewhere, I cant think of one in the cd changer and I didnt think there was one in the connects 2 adaptors either actually, and if it was a stereo one you'd know because your stereo wouldnt be working properly and the stereo fuse should protect it from power surges.
Maybe worth popping to somewhere like halfords and asking them if you can try another one connects 2 adaptor (VW ones work, there usually kept in stock) or possibly another cd changer if they'll let you (my local would)

I tried diconnecting the battery again and reconnecting it. I also unplugged the connects 2 adaptor and reconnected it all. Still no joy comes up with "Error" when selecting cd. When i go into the boot and try pressing the release cd button it makes a noise like its thinking of ejecting but doesn't.
Could it be the connects 2 adaptor or is it the changer thats gone? Its not a fuse as i've checked them all and they seem fine. It only went wrong when i disconnected the battery a while back.
