I have recently taken delivery of a new Ibiza TDi Sport. I am dissapointed that only one remote key comes as standard and want to know the price and part No. for a second key/remote for the wife.
Are they easy to program to the car or is it best left to the dealer.

Many thanks,

TO OBTAIN CORRECT KEY, WE WOULD NEED TO SEE REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS,
KEY WILL BE ARROUND £70+VAT DEPENING ON KEY TYPE(WHICH WE WOULD NEED TO KNOW CODE FROM).

Martyn I was too thinking about this as I will have my delocked handles on soon.

On the side of my key it says 730 955-00 433MHz 5FA 007 680.

If that's enough information how much would a spare be?

Also do you think I could get a switchblade key? I've been told by the SE parts guy that they don't do them in the frequency yet, but that was well over a month ago...any news?

Cheers for all your help!

HI, SPARE KEY WILL COST APPROX £70, I WILL NEED TO SEE REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS TO ORDER, AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF KEY YOU HAVE, AND THE TWO DIGIT CODE ON THE STEM OF THE KEY. (I.E. W3/FW, E.T.C.)

Noticed the sticker on the key tag for my keys is unreadable (got wet! DOH!!) How do I go about getting a copy of the number? Will SEAT have a record of it? Or is this going to involve resetting the codes at a SEAT Dealership?

Is this going to be costly? Can't see why?

LOL at reading this thread, as on a slight side issue to it - when i bought my car i asked about getting a second remote/foldy key ordered and was told ' i don't think that we can order another one' DOH, why oh why did i believe them.

Logic would have it that if you lose your key, you would go to a dealer and get another ordered. Not cheap though is it?
