View Full Version : Folding key
I know this has been asked before but there does not seem to be definate answer either way, anyway here goes.
Can you get the folding key with the 433 frequency?.If you can't ,can you tell me if there is any chance of this happening.
Been speaking about this on the other site and the Alhambra uses 433MHz keys, so you might be lucky there.
The tricky bit is to get the chip in the key to immobilise the car...unfortunately it has to be done by trial and error.
most of the leon/toledo use a 433mhz imobiliser
the PROBLEM is the foldin type keys come in 433.92 and 315Mhz
if your standard jey is of either of these types then you are a step closer to spending ooooh £100 or so :(:(
worth a look on the side of ya key
I am getting mine for £64 including VAT if it all works.
This key was listed for the new ibiza and the new polo on ETKA, so we've used that...all it should take is some programming and it should all be cool!
Tom, let us know if it works as I would like to get one as well. If you can post the part no. for everybody I am sure you will make many new friends !

You don't stab yourself in the leg when it's in your trouser pocket ;)
Oh and it looks cool, great for gadget lovers.
I have got both :dance2: but I wouldn't pay good money for either. Problem is you end up playing with the button all the time and your wife will give you a slap.
