First time ever asking a question on the net!!!!!
I currently drive the Toledo1.8 signum and am thinking of
changing to the 1.9 Diesel.Anyone got anything to say on
performance, m.p.g. chipping,etc.Cheers.
Hi there,
If you go with the 1.9tdi engine you'll get pretty good performance. Remember diesels have alot of torque, available from 1900rpm on. Unfortunately they tend to die out above 4000rpm. You'll get 0-100km/hr in less than 12 seconds & a top speed around 200km/hr.
I can't give you mpg but in l/100km my old 110hp ibiza gave me around 5.5l/100km so even in the toledo you should see it below 6.0l/100km.
My 150hp gets around 6.5 so it's a bit higher.
As to chipping, there's got to be about a trillion things you could do! Most guy's hear (me included) like Upsolute:

Sorry to interrupt ,PRC!!!
But you say you have a 150 hp diesel, which is my favourite but is not imported to Turkey. You also say acceleration is in less than 12 sec and V max is about 200 kmh. Well, 150 hp diesel must be a more powerful car IMO, acceleration below 9 secs and V max about 220 kmh.
You talk about 110 hp diesel, don't you?.
Your right Cenk Kose:)
I forgot to mention it's for the the 110hp. Well it would be hard to find a 150hp TDI engine right now so I think it's the best bet for Patrick.
My toledo has done 0-100 (officially timed) in 8.6s. The official value is 8.9s. Top speed is listed at 217km/hr.
I don't have a top speed for my car, but it reads off dial.

Why it would be hard to find it? I don't know anybody (except you PRC) who has that car.But it's one the best car of its segment. It is powerful, economical, but not very common. It may be expensive but it must surely be commoner.
Why don't people buy it? Why don't importers import it?Is it not produced anymore?

Hear in Portugal, there's a 6 month waiting list to get one!! Most people end up choosing the 110. Besides the 110 is at least 5000euro cheaper.
How about a used car?

I think I just found my next car there, a 150TDI for 14900 Euro. But getting it into Norway costs another 14000 Euro
Think I'll stick with my 110(140) a little while longer :D
.Net, in his second Toledo 110 TDI now
