Hi,
Has anyone else had this done to their 110bhp engine? I had the chip on my Toledo and transferred it to our Leon. I still cant get over what a cracking little hot hatch it really is!
Cheers,

Which chip upgrade are you talking about?

Or is it a "tuning box" power module thingybob?

It's a chip from company called De-tech they advertise in the back of Top Gear mag. Seems to make quite a bit of difference. No idea how it works. That's a bit tecky for me. The result is a really cracking little hot hatch
(it was good before) and that's whats matters to me!
There is another one marketed by a german outfit called Hopa and a couple of other sthat i know about.
Have you used somthing similar?

Not familiar with the unit, but it sounds like a "power module" that goes inbetween the ECU and the injection system. The Hopa unit is certainly a "power module".

What are the power/torque claims and cost?

I don't have one, but I was looking at the "Hermann Original Tuning Box" which offers 137bhp & 207lbs.ft for approx £300. Gets some good reviews.

I've now swung in the direction of the Upsolute chip re-map......will pursue seriously once I've finished running-in.

Oh yes I am sure it's a module thingy. They claim an extra 25bhp. I have no idea about the torque except to say sufficient!
My Leon has now done just over 3K so I am looking forward to it 'loosening up' at around 5K!
I had it fitted to a Toledo SE TDI and I was very happy with the result! No hassle from the dealer down here. In fact I doubt he even noticed it.
So what colour is yours? Mine is Imp Blue Met.
