If your priority is 'go' and not 'show' at the moment have a look here http://www.abcdesignltd.com/ and order the MHW catalogue. I have a spare if one of the S-Massive wants it from me at the next meet.

No problemo. I'll try and park under some lighting at the next meet so you can see the interior better. Done as much of the dash/plastic mouldings as I want at the mo, but need to re-do one bit. Going to order more leather in to add some of that leather feel to the doorcards. Liberal use of chrome spray paint is working a treat and will have a few other chrome fixtures for next time.

how did you actually do it, just cut it to size and stick it on?

Pretty much - but this approach did take a long time. Used newspaper to cut over-size templates (broadsheets). Glue back of leather and glue surface to stick to, allow to dry briefly (wash your hands of all the shit on them) stick together, peel off immediately if fu***ed up, smooth out with hand or for more pressure use finger or other tool to hand. Don't stretch leather too much otherwise it looks odd. leave enough at edges to turn over or get good trim finish.

Oh, make sure your interior fittngs are relatively clean first.

When cutting templates make sure you haven't reversed the shape you need ie ending up with an invert piece of leather which won't fit!!

Tony,

More leather being delivered on friday, so will give myself the day off to retrim door cards and any other bits that might work.

Thought about doing seats but a bit too hard for me and that much leather would be too expensive.

excellent mate, where are you buying it from and how much is it costing you, perhaps you can give me details now or show me the catalogue or where you get it from on Monday, looked in Demon tweeks, its about £35 40x60cm, which is not cheap, how much have you spent already on the whole leather setup? definitely going for the Red along with red gaitor for hand brake, gear stick thingy, lots of red!!! Seats would be very hard and cost quite a bit, but would like to find out how it is done and if possible to do myself!

Leather is just from boring Richbrook. DT don't stock it so I've bought it from them direct, in two batches now. Their rrp, allegedly is £22 including adhesive and knife for each sheet 400x600mm I think, but the size is on their website.

Ermm... I didn't pay anywhere near this price, bartered him down saying that a direct deal is better for them and that I didn't need multiple tubes of adhesive or knives.

3 sheets was just enough to do what you saw last time. You will have to utilise those 3 sheets very carefully though!!

I don't like the look of the handbrake gaitor so am making my own design to cover up the gaping whole left when you remove the gaitor and to cover the exposed metal at the back.

Email me any more questions and i'll reply with the price I paid.

thats alot for £22, do they have a website at all, or if i gave you the money since you have already managed to barter him down to that price, would you be able to get me some leather in red, could give you the money on Monday, £44 should buy me two sheets right?
