My cars got no rear seats, different front seats, etc. Looks a bit 'in-progress' at the moment.
Getting that balance between everyday car and track car is not easy, so I've got a new seat, steering wheel, cage, etc.

Just need to 'modify' the seat sub frame so I can sit nice and low, and get mounting plates welded in for the roll cage. Only one drawback, I've no money and no job... bugger!

Unfortunately its the horn, my little bro thought they were turbo boosters though. That would be cool, very knightrider esque.

Kev, where and how much was that Seat, its well nice and suits the interior! can you get it in different colours apart from blue, like red or whatever, as i am thinking of copying EDC designs (if you have seen his car) and leathering the inside of my car up!! just to look like a complete tart!

Looking good m8....steering wheel reminds me of focus RS though (take that as good or bad!!!!)

Dor (who would have a different seat if he could guarantee non-airbag shenanigans if he removed the old one)

The seat's an OMP Rec. There was a red one at Demon Tweeks in the bagain corner because of a rip underneath it which I think was down to £120, but apparantely OMP aren't making them anymore, they do a few different reclining seats but they're all (coloured ones anyway) meant to be v difficult to get hold of. They don't do a leather look with coloured interior other than the Rec either, at the moment I'm not fussed about the passenger seat because at the end of the day I'm not going to sit in it anyway!;)

Didn't think the steering wheel was going to make that much difference, but gone is the flex you get through the plastic wheel, it feels a lot more solid!

It's coming together then... Seat looks decent, but a recliner? I thought you were going for all out pasty, and that means a properly supportive fixed back seat. There is no substitute...

Hope the subframes fitted up OK, but what's all this about modifying them to sit you lower? Are you meaning putting the bars between the bottom holes or is it all a bit more heavy duty than that?

Ah with still using it as an everyday car I didn't want to have to climb in and out of the seat, the roll cage is alright but add a fixed back with large sides and it's not easy getting in and out. You'd be suprised at how much the seat does hold you, especially when you're all harnessed in you're not going anywhere. So it's a good balance!

The subframes don't allow for the driving position I like without spacing up the front meaning you sit v high, so I'm going to fabrcate a fixed subframe and have it welded up and then bolt it on!
