Hi,

One of the first things I did when I got my new Leon was to replace the original speakers with some Infinity Kappas, mush better sound quality now.

The problem is, when I turn the volume up to a reasonable (loud) level the door cards vibrate causing a buzzing sound which is very very annoying. Without resorting to stripping down and rebuilding the car, are there any simple methods of tightening/stiffening the speaker mountings to eliminate this? I know it is the door card causing the problem because If I push against it by hand (or foot) it stops vibrating.

All suggestions welcome

You really need to 'soundproof' the door cards as a starting point.
Using Hushmat, Dynamat & a few others will certainly help eleminate any panel rattles. Sounds like you need a fair bit!! it will stiffen things up!!

Better still you could make a speaker ring 'baffle' to hold the speaker instead of the panel or plastic pod as its more secure, stronger & should help with sound by eleminiating rattle.

You could do with sound.p the inner & outer doors too
