After 2 times that the tailgate hatch refused to open, it is now stuck. I cannot open it with the key also!
Is there a way to open it from inside the car? What should I do? How will the service guys open it?

I removed the back shelf and the back head rests to make it easy for the lad at the garage.
After removing 3 screws (2 behind the light hatchs, 1 in the door pull-back handle) he had to pull real hard at the plastic trim! I was afraid the whole thing was going to rip off the door...
At last it came off and we noticed that all of the steel clamps were torn off the plastic trim! The clamps are a lot tougher than the plastic base in which they are sitting. Anyway, what went wrong was the electric unit made by HELLA Germany. The unit itself was stuck to death. After instaling the new unit, the trim went back just nicely. The central locking system functions OK now! Whole thing took about 1.5 hours.
We opened the unit and saw inside a small toy-like 2.5 cm long elctric engine and 2-3 plastic gears. Somehow I have always thought that they were using electric solenoids for the job! Such a flimsy toy-like engine in an unprotected plastic box (no real weather or dust shield!) was bound to go wrong sometime!
