My cluth is slipping. I need to get a new one ASAP. Can someone recomend a High Performance Cluth with a lighter flywheel?
I will be buying this cluth from the USA. Since there is no SEAT there, can you be specific about the cluth (brand, part numbers) or maybe order something straigh for a VW (would need VW model and Year)?
i replied earlier but it seems to have dissapeared, try a vr6 flywheel and clutch, bill brockbank has one on his ibiza:cheers:
how many miles in your car?
just get vw golf 1.8t clutch, not original, bigger 228mm and it goes in. believe me.

I too thought I has posted a reply.. maybe it was somewhere else.. oh well.
My clutch upgrade was to VR6 setup and did require a VR6/ABF type flywheel. 228mm clutch is the VR6 setup. Stronger clutches are available for this larger VR6 setup.
Existing 20VT Ibiza clutch would be a dual mass flywheel thingy which is quite a different setup.
Several US tuners offer upgraded VR6 setups for 1.8T upgrades.
Mine is UK sourced and Helix clutch components, mounted onto a very lightened ABF flywheel.

Hey guys, finally I got the Autotech 228MM clutch with a Sachs Power Clutch. It works great, no slipping and the pedal is the same.
The only downside is the first week when you are running in the clutch, you must press the pedal all the way to the end to disengage and the shifter is harder. All this seems to be getting back to normal after 1 week of use.
