Seat Alahambra Stylance (Reg 05) Both my rear tail lights have failed and so has the rear parking lights. (which is probably a fuse) Neither the owners manual or the fuse lable in car identifies a fuse for the rear lights? nor does it explain the oboard computer message "status 1/1". Can anyone help?

Don't wish to be rude, but I assume you have checked the bulbs, as a first suggestion?

Also - when your parking lights are on do the fronts work?

Not being rude, perfectly valid question. I have checked all the bulbs and they all all ok, that is both rear tail lights and both rear parking lights. the front parking lights are working fine and also both the brake, reversing and fog lamps working fine.

I guess that any fuse for parking lights would be for both front and rear, or the whole rear lights clusters. Try putting the lights on and then checking the connectivity of wires - maybe wiggling them a bit to see if it is a short circuit or damaged wire?

lights are normally one fuse for left and one fuse for right, this is for safty reasons

so that not all of your rear/ front lights go out if you blow just one fuse

sounds like a faulty light switch
