Sounds pretty damn fast to me.

Partly off topic - do you know how kerb weight and gross weight are calculated by manufacturers? i.e. does the kerb weight include an amount for passengers (how many) and fuel, or is that included in the gross weight.

Any plans to change your VX for a turbo?

Not as yet.

When I first read the specs yesterday, the little green devil started popping up saying "You know you want it!", but I managed to resist.

I've yet to really find and explore the limits of the standard VX, so for now, I'm happy with what I've got. I'm not sure what the balance is gonna be like with the Turbo. Alot more power with more weight at the back, and more weight overall, I'm not sure that it will be as precise or as forgiving as the 2.2.

The Turbo would start making me drive too fast again as well. I sold the Leon to move away from 100mph+ speeds and to concentrate on handling, and so far I have stuck to that on the road. To get the Turbo would be to put my licence under threat again. So for now, I'm sticking with what I've got.

Unless V*uxh*ll are kind enough to upgrade me for free :D

How about you? You gonna get one?

I was looking at a mag the other day, forgotten which though, and it had a few new models in. The VX replacement was one. It looked very different, but smart and had a supercharged engine with mega power. May have been Autocar.

It had a new Tigra, A6 and a few more.

No plans to change my car to a turbo. I'm closely looking at what that bloke is doing to his lightning yellow VX. He's planning on getting his 2.2 Turbocharged :hammer:

I'd be more interested in the supercharger they're using on the 2.2 for the Solstice. Right now, I'm put off any form of forced induction by the number of comments I've heard on the hard job GM/Lotus had trying to stop the new VX Turbo from over-heating. I'll wait to see how the Turbo copes first.
