View Full Version : Spanish Prime Minister visits SEAT
The SEAT management presented to the Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero the company’s plans for the future during his visit to the SEAT headquarters in Martorell.
SEAT President Erich Schmitt and management also welcomed the Catalan Generalitat President José Montilla and the Minister of Industry Joan Clos, along with several local authorities and trade union leaders at a ceremony to celebrate the laying of the foundation stone of the New Design Building.

Maby a Toledo sedan! Was very popular in this country.
My parents had one a few years ago,its was got me into SEAT and im on my second one now...Could be a Leon CC

It's significant that the Prime Minister and the Catalan President visit at the same time.
The present Zapatero government with its' Socialist Workers Party majority is much more favourable towards Catalunya, and its aspirations to become independent, than the last Aznar lead right wing government.
Spanish history/politics mean that any recognition of Catalunya by Madrid is a sign of progress.
