The car manual is not specific about when to turn on or off the Climate Control.
When I recieved the car they told me to leave it on all the time with no worry because there is a 10 seconds delay to protect the compresor.

What do you do about it?
With the "manual" A/C I have always used to turn it on after ignition, and turn it off before turning off the engine. It seems to me wrong to leave the system on all the time.

What do you think?

Turn it on when you need mate. Although you will use it more than we will over in the UK :)

should be ok leaving it , although it does affect the MPG slightly and BHP to a degree , the pulley works on a controlled freewheel that is controlled via ecu's etc , and the whole system works of the key anyway

the whole AC system has under/over pressure sensors all round it to ensure it runs @ optimum efficency
