Wonder if anyone can shed light on this?
My car usually idles at 800-850 rpm (with cam fluctuation),yesterday when I used it it sat at 600-650 rpm, and seemed very jerky - I had to use third gear in traffic at 30mph to keep it smooth. What could cause the revs to fall like this all of a sudden?
Its a 2.0 16v with schrick cams and an AMD chip if you need more info.

have a look at the connection on the left hand side of the inlet pipe m8 small black connetcor .it has gone wrong on 2 16v i know of giving funny idle.unplug it ,check connection and maybe remove it from inlet a wipe him off ,think its the throttle sensor or some such name(a bit like the maf on new ibiza)

sounds similar to when m eco(crap)valve went out of adjustment - do you have one? or an air leak?
