Hi,
I'm trying to find out if there are two different lengths of driveshaft listed for the MK4 Golf and its derivatives, specifically the Leon Cupra. I have got a lead on a 6spd box out of a Leon Cupra, complete with flywheel and shifter etc, all the bits I need to convert to this box in my ABF MK3 Golf GTI
The reason behind this is trying to find out if the 6spd box (O2M)uses different (read shorter) driveshafts than the regular 5 spd (O2J) box. I know that the diff is wider on the 6spd hence me thinking that there must be a shorter driveshaft or else the 6spd cars have a wider track.
Also I know that some of the golf MK4 diesels came with a 6spd although it may be a different version that is attached to the 1.8T Leon Cupra
A few of us have been discussing this on the CGTI forum - http://www.clubgti.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6049
I hope you can help as I need shorter driveshafts to be able to fit the O2M to my soon to be ABF MK3
Hope you can help
Chris
