I just want to know if insurance companies do credit check against their customer? any reason why guys? :ban: just got credit report back and states they have done a search against me! :confused:

License details have NOTHING to do with Credit history...

I'd be asking why they had to run a credit check...especially as you paid in one lump.

Surely there's better ways of checking that...rather than adding a search to your credit report? :shrug:

Adding a search record onto your history gives the impression that you have been looking for credit, some finance companies see this as a failed application and could do more harm than good.

An Unrecorded Enquiry is a search that was not made for lending purposes. It will not be seen by any lender but it is included on your credit report so that you are aware that the search was made.
