Which VWs use the same pads as my Ibiza? It has 280mm discs up front and the rears I'm not sure. I know the Pagid FRs are FR5051 for the front on my Ibiza but this doesn't seem to help too much at my local GSF.

Say G60 Corrado front pads. They might understand that.

Exactly the same backplates between them, with thickness's being the difference. 15.6mm (16v) vs 19.6mm (G60/20VT)

You can put a 16v into a G60/20VT but not visa versa.

Interestingly, EBC's G60/20VT pad is in fact the thinner one for 16v, so you already start on a brand new pad thinner than it should be. No wonder wear is poor, when it starts off thinner.

Strange.
Maybe when I first my "210" package... RSD fitted the wrong ones, as they were definately the thin pads not G60 spec. When I asked, and I did, having checked them, the replacements offered as like replacements were the thin pads.

I said no on 2 counts.. first they were EBC and had worn out in the first 2K miles of the cars life and 2nd, they were too thin and incorrect for the car. - Pagid FR5051 were supplied by replacement. - better afterwards, but Tarox G88 disks were the next weak link and horrendous on pad wear... Major cheese grator action.
