The only way to stop them that i know of is to dynamat everything that rattles!!, its a real pain getting access to the bare metal of the panels but worth it in the long run as you will get less road noise too, but you wont notice that with the stereo turned up anyway:D

Unfortunatley getting rid of rattles isn't a quick process and it isn't always obvious how to get rid of them. It's just a case of finding the rattle and figuring out a way to stop it. Dynamat or Brown bread are good products. You still have to work out exactly where the rattle is though which can take a while.

You have a 1K rig strapped into your Beeza..?? Jeeeeeez man..

Can you actually sit inside your car with it turned on and the windows up or is the pressure too great and you brain start to leak out of your ears.. lol

I have some mates that are big ICE fans and have stoopid sized kit in their cars that you can't actually have the sub on without opening the boot or the windows fall out.

I don't get the reason to have it that loud though.. I do fancy something more than the annoying poxy little rear's that are in it standard. Have heard a lot of people saying about upgraading to 6x9's, so I might try that.. will get one of my mates to see if he can get something..

What 6x9's are recommended to directly replace the small things that are in it now.. ?? As I don't want to make any new wiring or cutting into shelfs etc.

Cheers.. oh and don't forget your ear plugs Carl..!! lol

It aint possible to wind the bass all the way up as everything rattles to pieces!!!(the rear wiper bounces off the glass) I only built it so loud cus i hate all the NOVA and CORSA's round ere and when i finally start driving itll make there systems look well shit infront of there mates. I dont know what to suggest for 6x9's but i dont think they fit the standard rear mounts. The best place for audio has got to be bass- junkies. Check there webpage, ALOT cheaper than halfords.

ive just bought an Alpine CDA7873R head unit which is very powerfull indeed, craps all over my old MD unit. Im running a 12" sub, 6x9's in rear MDF shelf and a 17cm set of Kenwood componants....everything powered by amps. I now have the same VERY annoying problem of MAJOR rattleage coming from the front door trims. VERY VERY VERY annoying. Its that bad i cant even crank my tunes up loud, they rattle that bad. Im going into SQ+ tonight to see what they can do, and at what price.

Lots of money, might as well bend over with ya pants down! They'll do a good job though but I'd be tempted to get a load of soundproofing and do it yourself.... ummm, possibly a job for Sauls car audio at the weekend, could save you a lot of cash!

know what you mean, suppose they would rape me raw on a price. They are good though. But yes, a sauls auto day could be looming soon to sound proof those doors. Does yours rattle much Kev?

Also, on Monday were you on the M60 going towards the Trafford centre at about 7:45am?

Mike.

Mine doesn't rattle to much, it would benefit from being sound proofed though, perhaps we could do them both one weekend?
It wasn't me on monday, got my 17's on now (bk158) so you'll recognise it. Still needs to be dropped though! If you want to do some sound proofing give us a shout, any more ideas on your boot? I'm toying with the idea of building my sub into the side of the boot... so might be having a play with some fibreglass at some point soon! Fancy a pint at some point, get Saul and the others out?

Don't use Dynamat though, it's far too expensive. Get brown bread from somewhere ( Demontweeks do it as do Maplins ) It's pretty much the same stuff, has a foil backing like dynamat extreme and is much cheaper... You can go mad though, Mines got about £300 worth in it...

A cheaper alternative to Dynamat stuff is Aquaband Hiseal. Its used on flat roofs, is about half the thickness of dynamat (i used both) but cost under 1/4 the amount and is a bit more flexable. It does make a big difference to both bass and roadnoise.

Oh but i still suffer from wobbly numberplate syndrome along with lots of shakey trim at high volumes.
