Optimal Cams for MK2 2.0 16v

Hi,

Could anyone give me some info on the best cams to get for my MK2 Ibiza 2.0 16v?

Im after some that will give a larger power band at lower revs but without loosing too much topend, also needs to idle! :)

anyone know if a cam for a VAG Engine will fit my mk2 ibiza 2.0 16v. im under the impression that the engines are very similar.

mk3 golf 16v uses the same kit.
Cam kits usually come hotter than the std ones fella so theyt are usually geared to higher revving and higher peak power, at a loss to bottom end.

No more than a 264 with the stock fueling system

difficult to get more low end torque without big spend - replace with a diesel perhaps.....

also known as 'the holy grail' and sought after by every tuner in the world :)

serious note - tune it up top end and fine tune the gearing to suit - you could theoretically get close to the stuff you want but will suffer acceleration or speed

LOL now i understand fully.

Stu have you ran a car with some 264s? Any insight into what i should expect to have to deal with, fueling for example is a worry..

I personally run 275's - Dave Cymru runs 264's and doesn't seemtohave any complaints
