View Full Version : I hate insurance renewal time...

...but at least this year I had a nice surprise :)

After getting my renewal through from Adrian Flux of £700, it was time to make a few calls and see how much I could save. I wanted to get my excess down from £600, but still wanted fully comp and at least 14k a year.

Got what seems to be a pretty good quote from Brentacre - £600 fully comp on my little Arosa, with an excess of £350; considering I'm only 20, with 3 points and two accidents to my name I was pretty pleased with that.

And a mention also has to go to Noel Dazley who came in with £645 - they are my second choice, dependant on what answers I get to a few questions I need to ask tomorrow :)

Oh yes, and comedy quote of this year goes to Liverpool Victoria! A premium of.......

...wait for it....

....£2348.02

Try getting a Focus ST insured when you've been rear ended the month before your insurance being due for renewal and the claim hadn't being settled yet. My quotes ranged from £550 to £3000+ depending on what options I picked.

i left adrian flux this year.a case of first year bargain, second year fleece the customer with renewal.
gone with a guy on briskoda this year(for now) 200 quid cheaper and actually listened to what was done to the car and didn't jut bump the premium when a remap was mentioned.

We never accept the renewal :) Which is why I was ringing round. Who was the guy on Briskoda you went with?

still got about 3months left on my cover but will as always be looking around for the best cover, may not stay with Fluxy for cover as they do seem to be getting more expensive.

Well, thats that sorted for another year - I decided to go with the lovely sounding people at Brentacre :)

Bonus at my age is I get a guranteed hire car for 14 days if mine is damaged at all - even written off. Which is nice.
