Does anyone know if you can get a Small mirror for the drivers side to match the passenger one?
yeah no problem , just order a LHD one for the right hand side
be warned you will need all 3 pieces
mirror assy
glass
cover (will need painting)
comes to about £80 i think , will need to check chassis/prices etc

Does the mirror still retain is wide angle or is this the price you pay for matching mirrors?

Come to think about it, why do you find the uneven side mirrors set across the board in VAG?
What's the idea behind it? Anyone?
The smaller mirror is just too small to be practical and in fact I need very much the wide angel view even on the right side (We are lefties here!) so I have added a small 360 deg. mirror attached to the upper right side of the right mirror. (I have found it most practical in parking and in overtaking).
As you can see in the picture!
