Poxy thing wont accept the CD Magazine. It goes in but doesn't start doing its disc indexing routine, the Aura HU just says "MAGAZINE" and goes back to the tape.

Anybody know of a way of resetting it? It happened once on the Beezer but as that was in the boot I could disconnect the cable which sorted it.

The manual is really helpful "If the display says MAGAZINE then there's either not one in there or it's incorrectly inserted". How the hell can you incorrectly insert it? It's guided in on a runner and will only fit in the one way....sheesh!

If it's a cable out job can any kind person point me in the direction of a guide for removing the changer from the glovebox?

Don't know if you have to remove the cable to reset it but it would seem like the obvious thing to do.

The glovebox on the Leon is easy to remove.

Just undo the torx screws at the bottom of the dash under the useless shelf. I think there is one at each side. Then the screws inside the glovebox at the top. Clip off the cover at the side of the dash I can't remember but there could be other screws in there.

The complete unit lift out with the changer intact, just be carefull of the cables for the glovebox light and switch and the changer cable.

The changer cable just pulls apart.

Gives you something to do over Xmas!! :bored:

Cheers

Arse, I can't find my Torx kit. Do you reckon just disconnecting the battery will do the same job?

In the end I popped down to my local Max Power emporium (Halfords). Managed to collar a chavvie boy next to the exhaust extenders and stick on Dimma fuel caaps. I nicked his keys and went out to remove the radio, disconnected the black plug nearest the bottom, plugged it back in and Bob's your mothers brother.
