I got an autometer 52mm boost gauge for christmas and don't wont to blob up fitting it so wondered who made the best ibiza a-pillar gauge pod or are they pretty much all equal?

Is it ideal to remove the a-pillar moulding and if so how?? Really wish haynes did a manual that covered the 1.8T ibiza!

Thanks, Andrew.

do it yourself mate its not really that hard to make these

the a pillar cover just pops off if you pull in right place
all you have to do is make sure you dont drill the hole where one of the mountings is
then carefully drill the correct size hole for the gauge bareing in mind it probably wont sit flush with the cover as i dont think there is enough room behind to enable it to do so
once you have all your connections and things ready to wire it in all you have to do is mark carefully how much the gauge can extend out of the hole

then remove all the bits and pieces again now buy yourself some fibrglass resin, bodyfiller and some masking tape from somewhere like halfords mask up your gauge completely and then use the fibrglass and the bodyfiller to achieve the look that you want

then either find a vinyl that matches the interior and recover the hole lot or have it re-textured so it matches exactly
