Anyone know if the Panasonic CX-DP9061 is compatible with my 2001 leon tdi 110 se,s head unit, and will it fit in the glove box?. Got a chance of one for £150. Failing that what would you recommend.

Cheers,

There are quite a few companies on the Internet that list the DP9061 as being compatible with the Seat Aura radio IF you use an interface module / cable between them. Cables seem to be around £35 (or about £50 if you want the Random function supported).

The two alternatives are to either get the proper Seat Changer (suggest you talk to Flapper) or fit a single CD heat unit in place of the Aura (shop around - I found the Kenwood 5090 for £153 that Halfords wanted £230 for). If you change the head unit then you wlll need to buy a fasia panel - £12 from Halfords.

(Note: the Kenwood 5090 came with the correct ISO cables and the aerial adapter which saved about £20)

I have had a 9061 in my Leon since day one. Great sound, works well with the Aura (via correct interface lead). I think the only thing that doesn't work is the random play function. Just slotted the autochanger into the glove box, re-fitted the outer trim and away you go. It isn't even screwed in, the trim holds it in place very well, and providing the angle screws on the side of the changer are set at the right angle I can never get the thing to skip a track in all 18 months that I've had my Leon.
