I have just started searching for someone who stocks custom fit wheel spacers for the new ibiza. No luck so far but I hold out hope of succeeding. In the interim it would be nice to know how many people want them. I will also repeat this post in the ibiza forum as I know there are a couple of 1.4 sport owners here. Of course if anyone else wants to take charge or knows a supplier then I will gladly defer responsibility to them.

I would.

I have also PM'd edc in his capacity as discount sourcer. Sorry but I'm a bit busy this weekend / week coming to do much more.

Well I have supplied quite a few spacers out to other Beezer owners, but not 5 bolt new models. They're 5 bolt from memory are'nt they?

What widths do you have in mind?

I deal only with Eibach or H&R (H&R mainly) for their hub centric TUV approved spacers.

If you wanted to put something together for a single bulk purchase, I will see what can be done on pricing etc.
I have to sya however that I am not a fan of GB's as in the main they turn to worms... with not everyone wanting the same thing, and money collection being difficult.
Thats is why we usually do a general discount, like to Seatcupra.net readers as everyone gets the same deal.

My 2 penneth.

If you can confirm what spec you are wanting etc.... let me know and I'll see if I can help out on this.

Bill

I've contacted Jamex in Holland about a group buy,
they sell decent quality spacers and loads of other stuff under the Jamex brand name. Depends whether they're tied in with a UK distributor I suppose - they used to do a full range of stuff over here but only the suspension now under the G-max handle.

Bill; Remember you selling a batch of spacers on here some time ago and have to agree with you about group buys going bosoms up so how much is a likely price inc. bolts as before (and yes the new Beezers are five stud but there are also those of us with four stud looking to buy)

Price was £79.10 for +20mm/side before. (inc bolts)
Bolts are an issue on radius seat wheels.

I will only supply studs and nuts for radius seat fitments now, or can get H&R radius seat bolts for additional cost. (UK supplied radius seat bolts have been dissapointing)

What widths are people interested in?

Hello,

I am also interested in H&R Wheelspacers. Could any one tell if these are (also) "bad" for your wheelbearings?

Thnx,

I'm totally out of my depth now...

I've already got different nuts (or bolts; never had the wheels off  ) to suit my Mille Miglia wheels, so there must be an angle difference from standard.

I'd have thought 15 - 20mm is about the width I'd need, but I had thought that the thickness and the PCD was all I needed to know. Does anyone with a new Beezer know what we want?

I'll be at the RR day if anyone there can point me in the right direction.

Just out of curiousity, why would you guys be needing spacers? Is it for new wheels and suspension?

I was going to be buying some TT competition alloys and was put off by them because the offset on them is 31 while my Ibiza is 43 and so it would handle like a tram.

Please let me know!

Tom old fella, it's just a visual thing (filling out the rear arches on a Beezer)- But I suppose we could use the guise that it helps with handling and stability, but we'd probably be lying!
As for wear on the rear bearings - I thought you lot on the continent with all the modded VW's that used to run on ultra wide rims would have well documented results of running very fast cars on spacers (Distance Rings?)-But a few on here seem to be happy with them so far, it's probably going to be a long term thing if any, a bit like most of the modifacations we make eg. harder suspension/higher turbo boost etc.

I would say about 20mm thickness is needed but I wouldn't know about all that other stuff.

If I remember, I'll bring a pair of 15mm spacers so you can see what they're like. I only have 4-bolt to show, but the style would be identical.

On the 20VT Ibiza's the increased rear track width did go a long way to settling down a very jittery over bumps rear end, especially on stock suspended cars. That was with 20mm per side. I run 15mm/side myself on 7x16 rims.
Cosmetically it does'nt do any harm either :p
