Oil Overfill

I have recently had a 40k service carried out on my car by a local dealer. Upon checking the oil level, it is over the max mark on the dipstick after leaving it overnight on a level surface.
Do dealers use refil packs of a particular volume for the model of car or have I just been unlucky.....TWICE! The same thing happened after my 30k service at the same dealership.

I have had to drain some of the oil off in order to get back to the max mark.

Anyone else or just me?

The manual states 5 litres required inc filter - my car is spot if I empty a 4.5l can of Magnatec in.

Could dealers have similar (apparently incorrect) info? :confused:

Mine was overfilled on the 10K service. When I started the engine I got smoke from the exhaust which made me suspicious. Didn't actually notice on the 20K and haven't checked the dipstick yet as it wasn't that long ago.
