Hello

I think that my Clutch release bearing is on the way out. It makes a rattling sound when the clutch is out and this goes away when the clutch is depressed.

I had the same thing with a Polo this was covered by warrenty this isnt.

Flapper can u confirm my conclusion and do u get many that go like this, car has 44K miles.

Any ideas on cost of replacing this, also anything else I might as well replace while I am there?

Many Thanks

My accelerator does it when I take my foot off..

when decelerating through around 3k rpm and I have my foot off the throttle my pedal rattles.

I took it in a week ago to have it done and they have played around with my clutch pedal by mistake and not fixed the accelerator. I booked it in again this morning so it will be in again on the 14th to be fixed.
they can do the other squeaks and stuff that they didn't get rid of last time too.. I am getting a little fed up of going back in all the time and having to drive around in a soddin bottom of the range beeza for the day while they play with my car and make no improvements. The seat is still hammered also.. Grrrrrr..

So could my rattly accelerator be something similar to the rattly clutch problem..??

The pedal doesn't vibrate its the bearing I think, as you can hear it from outside.

When I had it changed on my old car the gearchange was less sloppy, plus that annoying sound was gone.

Any idea on part prices - Flapper ?

Thanks
