got car back from, just a few questions

overall the car is nice to drive and smooth, i can feel the low end power.

just a few questions

when i am off boost from around 2 - 3k rpm i hear a strange pulsing sound (may sound silly but it sounds a bit like the sloshing sound like when you ride your bike through a shallow puddle, well when i was a boy lol), the only problem is i cant smell any exhaust gasses under the bonnet! and after 3k rpm you dont hear it at all. i also cant feel any leaks.

any ideas?

when i press the clutch i hear a small squeek under the bonnet

and when the clutch is biting it kinda judders the pedal a bit.

is this because it is new?

other than that is great.

I don't normally smell exhaust gases under the bonnet.... unless you had a leak before?

Clutch will different as you've had that dualmass replaced.

same mapping as before yea? not adjusted to suit new motor cc?

yah same mapping on the map for the bigger bore. but i haveto run the rings in befor i do much more

m0rk yes i can smell gasses when there is a leak. i did last time i had one when there was a crack on the DP flange.

there wasnt a leak before it went in.

after taking a look at how they have put the turbo back they got rid of the allen bolt and replaced it with a stud. the end of this stud is now sticking in to the comp housing and i think that the mani to turbo is leaking.

over the past few days its got worse and the leak is even louder and it goes away when it heats up to how it used to be.

its really annoying i said about the allen bolt once or twice and why it is there.

i still get a creek from under the bonnet which is coming from the tranny when i press the clutch.

i am aware now why the clutch vibrates, it dont bother me i was just wondering.

everything is fine apart from a pre turbo exhaust leak which i also cant feel only hear. im going to get a mate to block the tail pipes when the engine is cold and see if i can hear it and locate it better.

other than these 2 things i am happy

found my exhaust leak which is coming from the mani to head.

i can smell and feel the gasson my hand.

once this is sorted i can then get a new custom map and hope to call it a day!
