Is there an OE cruise control kit for the PD 150?
I know a couple of you have done it on the 110, but can find one for the 150. Searching through the net found one from VDO which is supposed to fit in almost 90% of cars.

Same principle should apply with a tdi150 - the key thing is that it is drive-by-wire. Try searching for the part number of the kit and see if your dealer agrees.

Or contact APR (or REVO??) they will supply the cruise kit

Thanks guys
I had the idea that the APR kit was only for the 110hp tdi. I will try contacting them 1st. There is no APR dealer in Portugal that I know of, so even if they do supply the kit, I'll have to install it somewhere.??? Has anyone done it? I would guess that something must be programmed for it to work?

I've fitted it myself. Not a simple DIY job, but possible. You also need to get the cruise control function switched on using either a friendly dealer with their VAG tool or VAG-COM.

I think the diesels are easier to do than the petrol because the complete cruise loom is already there. Speak to Richard Washbrook at APR. Very helpful bloke.

Thanks,
Getting my hands on the VAG-COM, is not a problem. I'll be speaking with APR today to try and figure it out. Maybe I could get the APR chip as well?... Hummm! Had finally scheduled going to Mr. Upsolute Man on the 16th, but I guess I'll just cancel that until I figure out the cruise control options.

prc ~ found this old thread (http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=2186&highlight=cruise) which states kit for non-PD only.

Not sure if this helps or hinders........

I dont think it is too bad, all it means is that the PDs are different. The key thing is that PDs are DBW, therefore all you require is an input into the ECU.

Isn't the 110 dbw as well?

it is - but actually there is a post from APR at the end of that thread that may give hope.

Have just clicked on the send button to Richard at revo. Lets see what he's going to say. Have my fingers crossed.
Getting a good shop to actually look at my car, and figue out what is actually needed in terms of wiring and doing the actual instalation might be a problem hear. The VAG-COM is not.
