I have decided to get a cupra Leon over the Cupra R (See prev post in the Leon section). Anyway, is it possible to fit some sort of bleed valve to increase boost without having to fit a chip? I have done this in past on a Fiesta RS turbo I had and was quite effective. You have to be carefull though not to bleed too much air as the ford ecu cut the boost if you did.

I was suprised that the poll I set, did actually win 60% to go for the 180bhp Cupra and 40% for the Cupra R!!

Quite a few years ago now, I had a Ford Escord RS Turb and had a bleed valve fitted also, same on my Fiat Uno Turbo. They work well, but you can get relibility probs, i.e too much boost. I managed to put a two inch crack in the exhaust manifold on the Fiat, very expensive!!! Not sure how this is done on the Leon though.

This can be done via n75 valve mod. - see this thread or run a search for 'N75 mod'

I have a bleed fitted to my GT but I also have it chipped and the difference between chipped and unchipped is amazing. I would stay away from increaseing boost unless your having the fueling mapped as well
