Hello,
I have first real problem with my TDi(110bhp) 2001 Toledo.
It gives alarm of low low coolant water level or high engine temperature (3 beeps and flashing red light).
I have visited local service point but I got time for service 29.1. It is too far away :mad: !
Coolant water level is OK and water temperature is normal while driving. I have tried to check level sensor and it seems to be OK.
Has any one got similar problem?

Had the same problem on the Golf. I let the sensor sit in some alcohol for about 30 minutes, cleaned it off and it started working.

First check that was said is to replace sensor with wire. It did not help. So sensor seems to be ok :(
There is -11 celsius out there and it is bit cold to check wiring ;)
Other than a short curcuit some where, I really don't know what else it could be.
Maybe it's to cold for the electrons to flow down the wire ;)

Does anyone know how that level is measured? Is it resistance or something. Can I measure it somehow at that connector if measuring system is OK?
-11c is quite warm :-) Last week here was about -36c that is cold even in Finland...
