Is it any good as I got a rather nice quote on a full kit for my beeza 2day £249 + VAT

The kit drops it 40mm aswell just wondered if anyone know what it is like compared to the bilstein kit you can get for the beeza. Gonna put a deposit on it by end of the week if the G-Max kit is any good. So can someone help me b4 I part with my hard earned cash :D

Buy the billies

Quality doesn't come at that price I'm afraid bud.

So your sayin that Bilstein are much better in quality then G-max? Reason there that cheap is due to 20% off. Are G-Max poor quality and do they have a short life span, lol

without wanting to be sued

i have more 'good things' about billes than I have about G-max

and more people with G-max have said 'i wish i'd bought billies first time around'

In other words, know any Ibiza owners on G-Max who are happy? You can get the H&R Cup kit for between £300 and £400. Some prefer it over the Bilstein kits (sprintline/streetline - I presume these are the kits u have looked at at these prices). Koni SSK kit not too expensive either and a very good kit.

Cheers for your advice mark, glad I came on here before parting with my money. I was thinkin of the site surpsingly enough when he offered me the G-Max. In my brain I was goin "I know naff all and need some advice off of seatcupra.net"

Thanks again

Yep the bilstein sprintline kit is what I am looking at round £360-380 Not heard of the other kits really should read some more into it

You can get the H&R kit at that money. I'd rather get that personally. It uses Bilstein dampers but the H&R springs apparently give a much more comfy ride with just as good handling, nice drop too. Jason has a Bilstein set-up and likes it, Glyn has a Koni SSK and says it strikes an excellent balance between handling and daily ride comfort, holds its own on track but is much more fast road set-up.

Just to cause more confusion i got my interalloy height adjustable coilovers for a fraction over 400. Used them to replace my billies kit and am very impressed with them. Now running -70 with factory camber and alignment settings ( yep finally got them sorted ) and she doesnt rub at all! depends what sort of thing your after from the car i guess. Anyway now ive caused havoc im off! :D

Avoid G-Max like the plague!!!! I had it on my 8v, lowered appx 80mm rear, raised 10mm on the front. Awfull kit. I paid £237 for the kit. Then i bought the bilstein kit- thank god for that.

ok looks like I am gonna get the Bilstein one as I want a stiffened ride and my car droppin 40mm at the same time. Dont want it too low as when I get a kit on speed bumps wont like me even more!

The question is where is the best place to get the bilstein kit from?

The importers for Bilstein are Euro Car Parts. www.eurocarparts.com

However, any decent aftermarket tuning company should be able to procure a kit for you.

as an example, try these.

You actually want a bone crunching ride?? Surely you want firmer dampers to give the best handling and on top of that a relatively compliant ride. From what I've read the H&R and Bilstein are pretty evenly matched for handling but the H&R rides better. The Koni SSK is as good as the Bilstein (I think that's what Glyn told me) for handling on the road but is a better ride. I know there are several threads on the H&R suspenders so have a read thru those. All these kits drop 40mm+ with the Koni more like 35mm. The H&R is listed as 60/40 drop for non-GTI or Cupra models. But if you want the Bilstein go get it. You won't be disappointed. Try NFS and get a discount or DT.

PLEASE NOTE

H&R nor Koni will fit the Mk2 pre face lift Ibiza

different turret shape demands different springs (which they don't sell)

Only Bilstein Bothered.

So only the Bilstein will fit my Mk2 96 model beeza then?
