I've just had my driver's side electric window motor replaced as the old one was not closing the window properly. This new motor now won't allow the window to fully come down, it stops with about 1.5 inches still up! I was told that this is a new modified part from Seat but I am not happy that the drivers side window can't come down fully like any other normal car! It is only on the rear windows that they don't come down fully for child safety? Is there anyway I can get a new windown motor that allows the window to fully come down? It is also the same on the manual windows of new Arosas now!

for a rear window i agree

BUT a FRONT ??? are they having you on ?

sounds like an incorrectly fitted motor to me

When I first took delivery of my Arosa Sport, the passenger electric window did not go all the way down, and stopped 1.5 inches from the bottom. I was told it was a safety feature, but miraculously, a month or so later the window just started to wind all the way down. If you have no luck with a solution, wait a few months, maybe wear and tear will resolve the issue!

i had a similar problem with my drivers side electric window. putting it down was ok but when you came to put it up by pulling the switch fully back and letting it go up all the way automatically, it'd get about half way up then stop and come back down again. had to make three trips to preston to get it sorted. even more annoyin cos i was waiting til it'd been fixed to get windows tinted so didnt end up gettin it done til ages after i'd planned
