Tomorrow i'm going to have a testdrive in a Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20VT from january 2002.

Can someone tell me wich things i have to be aware of or things that are common defects ?

Would be very nice, and thank you in advance

To be honest with an Ibiza thats only a year old you shouldnt have too many worries. The warranty will cover most things. Ensure its been serviced on time and check tyres etc. If they need doing then use this as part of the negotiation. One thing I would check for is have a look under the front bumper to see if its been scraped on anything, cos its quite easy to do! One common problem that almost everyone with one of these has is the external temperature sensor goes wrong but this isnt anything to worry about as the warranty will cover a replacement. As far as I know there are no major problems with these cars and buying one of the age you are, you should be pretty safe.

Its not that important really, but it was the only thing I could think of! I know I've scraped mine recently on a couple of kerbs. Hope you buy the car, I know I was pleased when I bought mine.
