At the gas station this morning another toledo owner could not get the electrical fuel door to open. There was some sort of problem with the opening switch in the center console.
While trying to help him out we got to the conclusion that there is no way to open the fueling door in case of an emergency. Is this a design flaw or what:confused: :(
It's bad enough that the damn thing is electrical (I forget to hit the switch most of the time) but no fail safe is very very bad. Even the ibiza which only locked the door (when you locked the car) had a fail safe string on the inside of the boot.
We where finally able to open the fuel door, but only after removing the boot carpet and a sound deadening sponge thingy!!
