Just acquired the above vehicle and my feet are itching to modify it. Anyone got any kits which look nice/reccomended?

When money allows im thinking of:

New 'Comet' Kit
Rally wheels (which are already on it) blasted and painted
Harder springs in the back
New shockers in the front
Heavily tinted windows
Personalised plate
Engine chipped

Anyone with any other ideas/suggestions?

get firmer srings at the front too, else you'll be looking at a car that exits corners backwards :D

By your forum name i'd say that if you want something a bit more rallyish then do the following.

Fast Road Cam
Ported / Flowed / Skimmed Head
Free-er flowing inlet and exaust manifold.
Derestricted Airbox
Chip (Ideally on a RR aswell)
All round Gas + Adjustable Coilover Suspension
Strutbrace
Bigger Front and Rear ARB's
Uprated Brakes possible Brembos'

If moneys no object then also Throttle bodies.

All that should give you handling / stopping and about 150-160 BHP in an 8v

*cough SUPERCHARGER * cough bloody throat!!
cam exhaust induction kit and chip are the usual ways to go about getting a bit more outta the 8v , way cheaper than a 16v as theres only one cam involved.

maybe if i go out of the country, lose my passport and then claim asylum here, i will get a nice new car at the cost of hard working people.....oooh now we are getting political!!

Ah, if only it were that simple... The change from normally aspirated to forced induction is rather a big one. There are "simple" ways of doing it but they're pretty well all bodge jobs and are likely to lead to a hand grenade of an engine. Nice until it blows itself apart... To do the job properly (e.g. not lowering the compression ratio by sticking in an extra head gasket etc...) is a BIG job, and it'll always have the inherant problem that the valves are too damned small to pass the serious flow required for high rpm. While the figures don't look so good on paper, I've embarassed heaps of "more capable" cars in my 8v. My advice would be to keep things fairly sensible, which in turn tends to keep things reliable and enjoy the car for what it is.
