SEATCupra.net News - NEW SEAT SPORT ACCESSORIES FOR THE LEON 27/11/02

"stainless steel side door steps that carry the model name accentuate the sporting character of the SEAT Leon."

"No official word from SEAT UK yet on the availability of the new line of accessories, but when we do we'll let you know."

Does anybody know if the door steps are available yet? If they are has anybody got them (piccie would be nice) and do they have cupra written on them or seat?

Any info would be appreciated, price, fitting etc.

Thanks

They are available as some people have got some already. Your local dealer should be able to order them for you. Part number: 1M5071500

Cheers,

Scott

I have some non-SEAT ones which say 'IBIZA' :)

I'm also getting them fitted. They cost approx. 59 quid.

The dealer said he would fit'em for 30mins labour (32 quid!)

Cool.

I take it they have an adhesive back and they just stick on?

"Technician" ala YTS boy wipes sill, peels-off backing strip, sticks to sill. Repeat on other side. Job done.

That'll be £32 Sir.

That's what I thought.

I'm surprised we don't get charged labour for the time they spend trying to sell us the car.

"Ok Sir, we need to fill out some paperwork. By the way this is costing £50 per hour so take your time. "

Good point guys!

I'm cr@p at DIY but if it's as easy to fit as you say, I'm sure I can stick a sill plate on x 4. (just remember to clean the sill properly)

The SEAT website has an accesories section with quite a lot of cosmetic stuff.

The Ibiza 20VT comes with sill protectors standard, thought the Leon would as well.
