hey im currently thinking about getting a set of the £300 V-Maxx coilovers and replacement top mounts for my 1.2 12V SX 53plate ibiza, iv read a few posts on here that say you need new drop links for them, would you reccommend getting them if im only lowering the car 40mm? how low could i lower my car wihtout these drop links?my car has 17inch wheels and a 40 profile tyre just in case that has any affect.
cheers for your help guys Neal

Hi Neal
The adjustable drop-links are required due to the increased angle of the drive-shafts when lowering the car. You may find that you lower the car 40mm and have no rubbing problems until one day you have a car full of people and luggage and a rubbing noise starts to come from the front of the car. Which is the reason we advise to fit them when fitting coilovers.
The larger diameter wheels will increase the angle the drive-shafts sit at more than standard aswell so you will more than likely require the drop-links.
Hope this information helps.

right ok fair enough, how much are the drop links on top of the coilover kit? does fitting these parts mean i could lower the coilovers fully or do i need anything else and if so how much will it cost me?lol

The drop-links are £49.95 (inc.VAT) for the pair and this does mean that you can adjust the coilovers further down. No other items will be needed unless bushes are worn on the car, it is advisable to fit new top while fitting new or uprated suspension to any car, these are normally only around £14 or so.

Correct, normally they are vibring. We can get genuine VAG parts but the price is the same as buying straight from a dealer.

The top mounts we sell are standard replacements, uprated versions are only really required for track use or big engine conversions due to the extra weight. From every car I've driven the standard top mounts have been more than capable of the job.

You are looking at three hours labour for fitting the suspension which is £176.25 (inc.VAT) with free four-wheel laser alignment.
The top mounts and adjustable droplinks are included in the three hours labour.
