What a joke !!
All I wanted was to get a new battery fitted in my key and they couldn't even do that. It ended up taking 15mins for the service receptionist to walk backward and forward asking someone about it. I was told no-one was available to re-program it if needed so I would have to use the key.
It basically ended up with me getting rather pissed off and asking "your telling me to get a new key battery I need to book my car in the for the day!" to which she didnt know what to say.
They were absolutly no help at all, seemed as thought they didnt give a toss, the bloke she was talking to was in an office in view and he couldn't even be arsed to get up!
At the same time I was in an old bloke was moaning at the service receptionist regarding a crap job that was done on his car, when he turned away to sit down she pulled a right face at him, I think she must have only recently left school (if she went!).
The only decent thing that came out of it is they have an R in the showroom so I had a quick look round that. Not really different inside, just black and has a few bits from the Golf added.
Try Notts... Its worth the journey.
Do a search and see the previous posts. Went to order a Leon CR from Derby, quickly did a u-turn.
The Notts sales, reception and ambience is very good. Not tried the service yet but I've heard its  good.
I think you may have already seen the posts when you were looking at the R.
I was due to go and test drive a Leon Cupra there begining of March. As I work at the college down the road but live in Nottingham.
Now I think I will go to Willouby instead. THANKS ;)

I would do, I am letting Notts service mine from now on.
If you want to have a good look round and see what they can do without the garage breathing down your neck give me a shout.
Thanks, I have to admit I ended up ordering a MY2003 Cupra from Nott's.
They let me take a Cupra out for an hour without a salesman, had a great blast up the A52 to Derby and Back:D

Nice! Another satisfied Cupra customer for the Cupra!
My only regret when I got one was they didnt really stand out from the std Leon unlike the Ibiza model. Still like it though, lets just hope they will let me have a Cupra R next ...
Well just look out for a yellow cupra with a private plate and that will be me:D
Best news is my students think I am cool driving a Cupra or in their words "thats a fat car"

I will keep my eyes peeled, if you see either an Onvi or Blue Cupra with private plates round Derby/Notts that be either me or my brother - Mine obvioulsy ending in NEG!
Shall keep my eyes peeled back, although I don't pick my cupra up untill 26th March:(
Went to GK yesterday and even the parts department is a joke, they they were standing around talking and took ages to come out, then this Caveman lookalike draged himself out, no smile nothing and took my order.
I was left with no confidence in their ability to order a part, but I shall wait and see if they phone me when it is in stock.

You have got to be joking, they will never phone and if they do I will be very suprised.
I ordered some wipers once, they never phoned, I called back a few weeks later and the answer was 'I will order some today for you'
They are a Joke!
Getting mine serviced by Notts dealer now.
Well I would of expected nothing less judging from yesterday.
I wonder if GK makes any money?
Sales is apaling
Parts is a Joke
Would not even consider service, I like having a car with 4 wheels and a stering wheel:D
Normally when I have ordered parts for my Astra I have paid for them up front GK did not want any money!!!
If they don't, I shall just phone Willboubhy I order one for when I pick my car up, it's the bonnet strip I am after.

bonet strip ? whats that ?
Its that small section of rubber you can buy that prevents dirt ect getting into the engine bay, it fits along the front lip of the bonnet in a series of locating lugs, only cost's about a fiver got the idea from someone on this forum.

I can understand why you would want one, especially during winter!
Well true, although I am rather sad in that during the winter or if is Wet I take my wifes car to work, as we use this as a weekend car and when my wife has day's off.
This leaves my car nice and dry and warm in the garage, and less cleaning for me at the weekend:D

How about Seat in Sidlow, the worst dealer ever!!!!
2-3 months i had the car, the dashboard rattled, it made a terrible noise going over 5000RPM, after using a days holiday from work still nothing fixed.
week later 2nd or 4th gear were not working.
went back, got a 1.0 arosa for 2 weeks, got it back with new gear box in it, drove down the road and the gf noticed a sound rattling around. went down a side road to turn around and come back, 50 metres down the road....BANG, clutch and gear box both went,
had my car for another 2 weeks putting in new gear box and clutch
oh and between all of that while trying to remedy rattly noise, went through changing the catalic converter and two whole new exhausts.
Hows that for service
bloody monkeys, must not think about it too much or otherwise i will start to get angry and annoyed again!!
Could not belive but....
GK actually left a message on mu answeer phone to say the part was in stock. I shall take a stroll there tomorrow to pick it up.
Miracles do happen or they read this forum LOL:eek:
