Hello Peeps.
I have now received (and sold) the first Dynatwist Induction kit for the Seat Ibiza 20VT.
http://www.badger5.demon.co.uk/bin/Dynatwist-comparison-1.jpg
The Dynatwist is a larger version of the Hurricane.
In front you can see the Green Filters Panel filter also for the Ibiza 20VT.
http://www.badger5.demon.co.uk/bin/Dynatiwst-vs-Hurricane-2.jpg
The dynatwist should be able to outflow the smaller Hurricane.
One note for users of the Hurricane is to check your filter for dirt etc. The one above in the pictures is my old Hurricane which was removed 2 weeks ago prior to the Jabba work. I removed the housing and was shocked at the qty of shite it had been sucking up. Most of the pleats were FULL of dirt, leaving only 20% of the filter actually breathing properly. It was easily cleaned however, with a hose and aggitation etc. Mine had done approx 8000-10000 miles so check yours. Amazing the crap that gets sucked in there. It is at least a washable and reusable filter so wash and go again. (re-oiling before hand).
Dynatwist looks also to be fittable to Leon 20VT's..... It is large enough to cope adequately, and the kits has a remote small cone filter for the auxiliary air pump feed, which allows easy fitment.
Price for the Dynatwist is £170 plus £8 P&P (UK mainland)
Panel Filter for Ibiza 20VT is £43 plus £5 P&P (UK mainland)
Panel Filter for Leon 20VT is £48 plus £5 P&P (UK mainland)
Filter oil from Green is available in 2 can sizes. 300ml @ £7.64 and 50ml @ £6.46 (plus carriage)
300ml will last for years and years.
Green's Air Filter Cleaning fluid is also available in 2 sizes. 1/2 ltr @ £7.64 and 1ltr @ £9.39 (plus carriage)
They do a kit in 2 sizes also: (cleaner and oil): 1/2ltr cleaner & 300ml Oil for £12.91 AND 1/4ltr cleaner & 50ml oil for £9.39
(plus carriage)
regards

The panel filter for the ibiza has been tested against a std (new) paper one. Having done a bit of analysis. The green filter is about 1-2 bhp and 1-2 ft/lb better (tested on my beezer r using VAG-COM) Remember this is against a totally clean paper filter (which will only stay like this for 2 weeks or so).
If you are not a regular cleaner of your airbox the green panel filter maybe the solution for you as it doesn't clog as much as the paper one.

Bill,
Was thinking of trying an induction kit or cotton panel.
Do I take it you have induction kit and panel filter in stock now for immediate despatch or is there a delay with it being a new product etc?
Also I was curious, what you going to use on your big sucking 1.8t when it's finished? Box or cone like the one above?
Cheers,
Andrew.

The Dynatwist has gone now, but I do have 1 x panel filter in stock at the mo.
Delivery is worst case 2 weeks now, on a 2 week turnround from France. 1st one took a little longer.
The IHI is getting an induction form Jabba, which is a fabricated metal shield arrangement, which effectively creates a box, when the bonnets closed. The filter is a Blitz type dual cone, which is something I will be replacing with a Green Large twin cone when I get the car back and suss what space and how big a filter I can cram in. I have never been convinced of the filtering ability for dust filtration on a stainless steel gauze which you can see through.

on the subject of air filters, i have a K&N induction kit (cone shape) and was wondering how often it should be cleaned, have been running it now for about 16,000 miles and its looking a bit dirty, should i take it off and give it a quick clean and clean it with what?

Any tests done on this new induction kit?? i.e. how does it compare to hurricane?? Bigger is not always better!! (Personally i think it is but for those ppl who disagree i may be wrong!!) I.e. more/less BHP, noise in comparison to hurricane, any problems with maf etc????

In this instance bigger will be better I think.
I have'nt had time to check this one, but it is effectively the Hurricanes replacement. Larger filter, less restriction, longer service interval, and a radius bell mouth entry. Its sweet and a nice progression from Hurricane.
No MAF problems... same style filter as the Hurricane.(made by Green originally remember)

One thing tho Bill, the hurricane was a tight fit and the green Dyna Twist looks massive compared. its going to be a bitch to fit!

btw the k&n filter oil is dyed red so it will retain its looks, same as the green stuff one for those thinking of getting one:cheers:

Its going to be snug yes...
Should'nt be any harder than the Hurricane to fit.
Dynatwist has mounting strap to bolt onto strut top.
I have'nt got my car at the mo, so can't check it out for myself.

Nice reply, I read the posts earlier but couldn't think of anything suitably witty.
Bill
Do you know what the difference between the dynatwist kit for the 1.8T and the Cupra 1.8T is, part no. DWA053 and DWA088.
Yep thought I was wrong... I hold my head in shame:redface: :hammer:
Well in that case can you put me down for one when your next batch
arrives please (grovel), afterall I have just proven what an excellent
price Badger 5 are doing them for!!
