Anyone removed the passenger airbag to install a changer?? If so were you able to retain the dash panel and hinge it for a more stealthy and secure-minded look?? Or, anyone installed a DVD player in here??

get a glove box - cut the back off & put a plate in - that's where mine lives

I take it any old Ibiza2 glovebox will fit no probs? Your idea does seem easier than my stupid one :p

jig saw, nuts & bolts doddle really

mine needs finishing off properly still but it was only an hour or so's work

any mk2 glovebox will fit - it's just how you get the airbag out..

Mark,

I was thinking about doing this to mine. Is there any room left for odds and sods in the glove box? Not that there was much room in the first place. Have you got any pics so I can have a nose?

Cheers

Not much room at all

I'll pull it out in the next day or two - but the CD changer pushes up against something behind the glove box & sits about 5mm from the 'lid' of the glovebox. and is almost as wide.

it would be worth noting I have a Sony 10CD changer - but that will only change the height really
