Registering EU Import for UK Warranty

Hi guys,

I know Swinny (I think) posted this before.....just can't find it.

According to SEAT UK I have to contact my local dealer to get the car registered in UK for warranty.

My local dealer just needs me to fax a copy of my V5 (doesn't need to see my car).

He does however want £30 for the priveledge.......which seems a smidge steep....

Do I have to register the car with him....'cos if it's going to cost me £30 I'd rather give it to you guys. Or is that a bad idea for future dealer/customer relations ? ;)

can some one confirm if this £30 to register the car with seat uk is standard practice or just that dealer trying to make money, if standard i am with you guys "give it to amethyst"

to be honest i think its the dealer being greedy , only takes a call/fax so graham tells me .

dont flood him just yet mind :D
