Has this been done, had a search but cant find any photo's, only one chap saying dont attempt it its too hard!!

Anyway,

1. Would like to remove front double air vents.
2. Cap off the vent pipe (or leave it if its not needed)
3. Build a fibreglass cage to fit in and hold the SatNav (unless there is a cage available?
4. Run some cables up from stereo etc
5. Sit back and appreciate my work of art, take some photo's, receive the respect!!

Am I in dream world?

Not difficult in a Leon, just need to get a center vent from a breaker. You will need to block off the vent but you can do that on the back of the center vent surround.

Any idea of a satnav that will fit in there?

You could probably fit a tom-tom in there if you took it apart.

if you can pull it off...would think it would look really good....good luck..

5 hours of sanding the mo fo to be flush with the dash, yeah think it would be good also, never used fibre glass before.

Is there room for like another head unit / DVD player? One of those fold out jobbers?

Not without removing a lot of the ducting behind there, and that involves removing the dash.

Eek, perhaps a PDA or a TomTom then
