Have you checked your nuts lately?!
When i picked up my Cupra R a few weeks ago my dealer had lost the locking nut key, they ordered a replacement from Seat, when i recieved it i was shocked to see how basic it was to protect my luvly 18" rims, on closer inspection the nuts look very poor quality and already showing signs of corrosion not pretty!, this can also make removal harder later in its life.
I have now changed them to McGard Wheels locks and they are great, much more solid and attractive. They say:
McGard's easy to use wheel lock functions like a regular lug nut, but requires a special key tool for installation and removal. Its design allows for an unlimited number of different computer generated lock and key patterns. This unique wheel lock system is continually being refined and improved upon. Locks are made in the United States and in Germany to meet or exceed O.E.M. standards for safety and durability.
Presently, McGard is an Original Equipment wheel lock supplier to 30 car lines around the world.
I bought mine by phone from www.wheel-base.co.uk who were very friendly and helpful the package arrived within 48hours.
Well worth £30 for the chrome finish and more peace of mind.
