 with you on that one mate!!!

Didnt want to slag the car off to much incase the owners in
seatcupra.net,but i think its:yikes:  :head:

now where did that bodyfiller go??

p.s. I was trying to be sarcastic with the mmmm nice/great!!!

most shocking thing is that even with the far off pics you can see how bad the filler is.

wonder if it's slapped right on the paint. in which case i give it 18 months b4 it turns brown (like bodyshop monkeys did to my car)

thats disgracefull. trust max power to drag the SEAT name down the gutter. whats next 22" max power rims, lowered 100mm with neons all over it. ok if your still at school i suppose.

well thats a state

Well it's going to need all its "500bhp" (sure thats how much will be claimed) to drag all that body filler around at anything above walking pace!.

Now don't get me wrong i'm not against body kits, but those that follow, and highlight sympathetically the lines in the std styling! That "thing" is just hideous, might as well stick a bath, 2 microwaves and a piece of toast to the side for the same effect for a lot less money!

What IS this new thing about making your car look like Mr Wonder designed it? (specially on VAG products that have excellent clean sharp lines)

SHED OF THE MONTH IS AN UNDER STATEMENT!
I'LL GIVE IT 3 WEEKS B4 THE FILLER CRACKS AND FALLS OFF!
AS MARKP SAID THE TWITTS HAVE SLAPPED THE FILLER ON THE PAINT.
WHAT THE F**K IS THAT VENT ON THE BONNET?

(A COUPLE OF MAX POWER STICKS SHOULD GIVE IT ANOTHER 200 BHP)

Bit of a bargin too at just 5k for the kit  lol

Jeez.......give the guy a chance will you....

You'll all look stupid in 4 weeks time when a 1:43rd scale Tracy Island appears.

More seriously......looking at the drawings there is some talent there..
The application of those drawings may be beyond the capabilities of the poster but if the overall effect had been achieved skillfully then the result would have looked no worse than many a professionally designed concept show car.

Keep trying son.

Maybe not for the street though!

Is it a spaceship or a car? Wheres the hyperdrive goin?

It will b nice to see it when its done so I know how far not to go on moddin mine :D

I have to applaud it on its concept, originality and wanting to be different. They will definately be able to say its a car of there own as none will be alike!

Thought the spoiler looks alright from the main drawin then I seen it on the lil sketch  not so impressive now!

Chris :)

i have to say, the drawings are a bit max power ish, but hey its original ideas, no one has done that sort of kit to the 1.8T Ibiza yet and at the end of the day, he is paying for it, he has worked hard for it its his car and i think it will look nice one finished...

PROBLEM...its polyfiller, as the chassis will flex its going to crack, which i feel really sorry for the guy to put all that pride and joy into his car for it to only go to waste. I would reply to that website and make him aware of the problems but i am not a member. Shame really.

all that money going to waste, and you guys i think have kind of beat the guy down before its even finshed, ok we are all entitled to your own opinion, but its original and a first for any 1.8T Ibiza.

If it had been fibreglass then it would have been the nuts! all that time and money, no point doing the job if you are not going to do it properly!!

the wheels do look the nuts, absolutely gorgeous! Bonnet should have been more subtle, kind of built in to the bonnet not put on top of it!!

Anyway, good luck to the guy, his money, shame he is gonna be disappointed when it all starts to crack. Will look very nice once finished but wont last long with weather, vibrations etc. Oh well.

i agree, it will be very original, however i would have rather spent 5k on the engine. Imagine the monster!!! Would probably been cheaper to insure than the body mods too!!!

04-02-2003, 12:48
well, you think it looks crap, i think it will look nice

Dormouse

Hopefully no mincing either (handbag stylee) :D

Look on the bright side, if he doesn't like it, all it will take is 1 hump back bridge / speed bump at about 30 mph and the impact / crash on landing will revert it to standard!

Oh you may scoff .....

but whats the height of your car mods everybody....

Hanging a whiffy tree shaped piece of supposed 'magic' wet paper on your rear view mirror!

Clipping some velour squares into your footwell!

using a different car wax.....

ooooooohhhhhh right out of left field :D

Haa, Haa!

I'm with Bill, form follows function, not the other way round, ie my car has wider wheel arches to cover the 140mm per side increase in track, it has a vent in the bonnet 'cause the rad is virtually horizontal and it is designed to reduce drag and augment down force.
And it has a wing on the roof that actually provides down force both to the rear wheels and the front, important when you try to put nearly 500 brake through the rear wheels!

The only similarity to the max 'beeza is that it too is unfinished in someones garage!:p

mark sheerin

Always amazes me when designers claim a 200kg increase in downforce from a rear wing that feels as if it would snap if you rested a malteser on it!

i admire the guy for trying to be different,or am i just trying to justify the money i spent on mine?
remember dave athertons ibiza?spent a fair wedge on his and it looked cack imho, too much.
i wish i'd just whacked on some 97>bumpers and spent the rest on the engine.
but who are we to judge, some people may think bills a loony for spunking all that money on an already quick car or paul for spending what must be thousands and thousands on an mk2 ibiza and turning it into what it is/will be,also why do these vw guys spend hours and hours restoring a car to stnd spec just to put in the garage all year.
basically i'm saying each to there own.
btw i think it looks a bit cack:cheers:

PLASTIC FANTASTIC

i take back what i said and yes this car is to be banished to the spotty faced townies who hang outside McDonalds in their 1.1 Nova's with 50" rims on!!!

its pooooo

would like to see what sort of state the car is in now as i saw the finished look in some pics a couple of months ago on some website somewhere

And now see the completed car in this months Fast Car magazine !! Still dont like it though , in my eyes the ibiza cupra is one of the few cars that looks good as it is ( maybe with a different set of wheels :D )
As was said before , should have spent the £5000 on tuning and handling .

Hmm dont look right without a mynheer spoiler, dont look as mad as I thought it would! The other mynheers look more radical like the Rover 200 and Renault Clio

Ah well, I generally would have to agree with everyone else, it dont look that gd, I thought the drawings looked better.

Ok so I dont sit in my car outside maccies but I do sit in my car elsewhere.

Back to the each to their own thing again
