View Full Version : Adding Flashing LED Drivers door
I was wondering whether it's possible to add a Flashing LED to the drivers door? My Leon import didn't come with one and I fancy having one fitted, if this can be done?
I assume it's just a spare part, and that the wiring must be in place?
Can anyone help?
Goot :)
get down to maplins (http://www.maplin.co.uk/)
they should be able to help you!!
I have modded mine by installing a blue led in either
door card.lucks the dogs .(just ask the pasty boys!!)
mine was pretty easy to do as there was already a pulsing
connection from the oe security led, just involved using
led's with an approiate sized resistor conneted in series.
you will probably have to get flashing LED's as you may struggle
to find a pulsed feed from the oe security system.
Thought SEAT Dealer may have spares in case they damaged the fitting? As it hasn't got one already, I don't fancy making holes in the door unless it's an offical part - I assume a std vw part?

Yep I'm sure Seat will have the part,on the ibiza it is just a
part that plugs in to a socket located inside the doorcard and
the led sits in the door pin surround..
dont know if it is the same on a leon??
If yours has alarm/immobiliser sure it will have one.
(The only holes i drilled were in these afore mentioned
door pin surrounds on my ibiza)
Post some pics up when I get my digital camera!

Like I said b4 looks the dogs,
Cheers, Dan
I imagine its very similar to how you do it on an Octavia. Attached is a link to a thread on our board which explains how to do it.
