late 51 model
has foldy mirrors memory seats and sat nav etc etc?
paid 16.5k for it
am i gonna cry ?

As above really, its worth more to you than anyone else - as always...
Realistically; its a car not many people know about, its a 2.3 V5 (its the V bit that scares 'em) and they aren't exactly popular. An older Golf V5 with poor history and higher miles will probably get more interest and go for more money.
They are a great second hand buy, why not keep it an run it into the ground? The depreciation hit will lessen over the years.
checked parkers and got depresed :( didnt think mods would boost price rather drop it if you know what i mean.
would keep it i love it but really fancy something faster ! (plus may be forced to sell soon anyway).

Its swings and roundabouts, they are soo cheap to buy second hand so the are a bargain (i paid £1800 for my X plate V5) but obviously it means resale values are hit very hard when you go to sell up, especially if you've bought from new. Yours is the same colour as mine although mine is very standard and very erm well its showing its miles shall we say (103500) lol
Looks like a smart example though where did the chrome mirrors come from i like them alot!!
got them through a group buy of http://uk-mkivs.net but there are loads on ebay also, just make sure you get decent quality ones i got a spare set off ebay after i cracked one of mine and the quality was way bad. german ebay are a good bet (about £30 on there).
